Proverbs 3:3 and 16:6

This is just a sample: much more coming soon!  (Currently being edited)

Proverbs 3:3  “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:”

Proverbs 16:6  “By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.”

Here we have two scriptures using an identical English word phrase but rooted in two completely different ideas.  The first action (Proverbs 3:3) can be categorized as a commandment or wish that implies a willful giving of the phrase by man to man, i.e. showing mercy over vindictiveness, etc. The second (Proverbs 16:6) is an act that originates in heaven and is carried out either through a praying man or by the Holy Spirit himself to an individual in need of deliverance in some aspect of his or her life.
